Dawn Powles Death , Obituary Strathmerton, VIC-AUS

It is with great sadness that the Strathmerton Football Netball Club announces the passing of Dawn Powles (Hall) on Thursday, April 23, 2026.

Dawn was truly Strathmerton born and raised—a proud premiership player and a deeply valued member of both our club and the wider community. Her passion, dedication, and love for the game left a lasting impact, while her warmth and kindness made her cherished by all who knew her.

Beyond the club, Dawn was also a beloved presence at Strathmerton Primary School, where her caring nature and gentle spirit touched the lives of many students, staff, and families.

As a mark of respect, players and members will wear black armbands in Dawn’s honor during tomorrow’s matches, standing together in remembrance of someone who meant so much to our community.

In partnership with Strathmerton Primary School, the club will be catering for Dawn’s funeral on Friday, May 1, 2026. We kindly ask for support from the community—donations of cakes, slices, or sandwiches would be greatly appreciated. Please reach out if you are able to assist.
